Basement remodeling

A basement project starts with the rooms you need and the space you have. Entryways advertises basement remodeling. Two customers describe completed basement renovations, including one that added a full bathroom. Your own layout, existing conditions and scope need to be assessed separately.

Planning your project

Start with how you want to use the space.

Use these questions to prepare for a conversation with Entryways. The scope, materials and schedule need to be agreed for your home.

01

Put the intended use first

Explain what you want the basement to do for your household and which parts of the existing space you want to keep. Photos and rough room measurements can help you describe your ideas; they do not replace a site assessment.

02

Raise the existing conditions

Mention anything you have noticed about moisture, headroom, access or existing utilities. If a bathroom is part of your plan, say so early and ask what would need to be checked. No waterproofing, egress or engineering package is assumed.

03

Plan around the rest of the home

Share your budget range, timing priorities and how the household uses the space now. Ask about access, storage during the work, decisions needed before starting and how changes would be discussed.

A customer's account

Two separate basement accounts

Sarah Mir describes hiring Entryways to finish a basement and add a full bathroom. She reports answers to questions, updates during the work and flexibility when she requested changes. George Klebart describes a different basement renovation, highlighting suggestions, attention to details and a clean, organized worksite. These are their experiences, not a promise of a fixed schedule or standard scope.

Common questions

Before getting started.

Can I discuss a basement bathroom?

Yes. Sarah describes adding a full bathroom with her basement finish. Bring your own plans to Entryways and ask what would need to be assessed for your property; her project does not establish what is feasible in every basement.

Does basement remodeling include fixing water problems?

The available service list and customer accounts do not establish waterproofing or drainage services. Describe any existing moisture concern before agreeing on a remodeling scope and ask what assessment is needed.

What should I bring to the first conversation?

Your project location, intended use, a few photos, any existing plans and a budget range are useful. Confirm the work to be included, how changes would be handled and current availability directly.

What could your basement become?
